This was not my usual Sparks book where I fall head over heels with the story， characters and plot。 I loved this book， but did not find the emotional draw that normally makes me love a Sparks book。

I read a Mr Sparks book every once in awhile。 I feel it’s the same concept: boy meets girl， there’s an issue and it gets resolved。 This one was different but the same。 I wasn’t expecting what actually happened。 I enjoyed how the characters all entwined with each other in the end。

I debated whether to give this 4 or 5 stars。 I LOVE Nichokas Sparks writing and was really enthralled with yet another of his books but I was torn because I struggled to truly indulge in the end。 Once I had that aha moment of the big piece of the ending， everything just seemed a little less than his normal standards。 Don't get me wrong， I still got teary eyed in that aha moment， which is probably why I still did give the 5 star because it obviously pulled at my heart strings。 But， if I'm being h I debated whether to give this 4 or 5 stars。 I LOVE Nichokas Sparks writing and was really enthralled with yet another of his books but I was torn because I struggled to truly indulge in the end。 Once I had that aha moment of the big piece of the ending， everything just seemed a little less than his normal standards。 Don't get me wrong， I still got teary eyed in that aha moment， which is probably why I still did give the 5 star because it obviously pulled at my heart strings。 But， if I'm being honest， everything after that moment almost knocked it down a star。 I would still recommend this book but there are others I may suggest stronger than this one。 。。。more

I have rated this 3 stars partly because I kind of figured out what was coming next and perhaps， it has something to do with the fact that I have read most of his books。 I have gotten accustomed to the way this author writes to an extent that sometimes I finish the sentence that he begun before even reading it。 Although this might become a reason for many people to just stop reading from the particular author but it isn't the case for me。 Whenever I feel myself drowning in my emotions， I pick up I have rated this 3 stars partly because I kind of figured out what was coming next and perhaps， it has something to do with the fact that I have read most of his books。 I have gotten accustomed to the way this author writes to an extent that sometimes I finish the sentence that he begun before even reading it。 Although this might become a reason for many people to just stop reading from the particular author but it isn't the case for me。 Whenever I feel myself drowning in my emotions， I pick up his book。 His books makes me believe in fate and true love。 It urges me to not give up on anything because as long as we are breathing almost everything is possible and it helps me feel better about myself and everything around me。 His books give me strength and let me know that I ain't the only one， that we might not see it but everyone is going through something worse than we can imagine and it is totally alright to be sad。 And this book has made me feel exactly that。 It's a beautiful plot and I loved it （but still I'd prefer many books of his before this） 。。。more

Really good book from Nicholas Sparks。 The story follows an interesting arch， with flashbacks， intertwined life paths and a usual sense of destiny from the characters。 The message from this book is profound with a meaningful life is one where you follow your heart。 The male lead character is as usual so good you can only fall for him。 I just watched the movie adaptation which was pretty good too。
